Generating A/R aging summary by parent

Use the A/R Aging Summary by Parent screen to view the aging summary of an A/R account at the parent/child level. The parent account displays the cumulative total of all the A/R child accounts linked to the parent account. In the parent account, you can view the subtotal of the linked child A/R account.

This report groups the property A/R Account that belongs to the parent profile and all the child profiles associated to the parent profile. The parent profile displays the total aging and balance of all the linked accounts.

To generate A/R aging summary by parent:

  1. Select Administration > Reports > Accounts Receivable > A/R Aging Summary by Parent.
  2. Specify this information:
    Property
    You can select multiple properties. If you select multiple properties, a property sub-header is displayed for each parent profile. If there are multiple children A/R accounts that belong to the same property, the children A/R accounts are grouped and sub-totaled within the parent profile.
    Accounts To Include
    The accounts to be included in the report, such as all accounts, collection accounts, credit hold accounts, over credit limit accounts.
    Age by Month
    The aging is calculated based on calendar month instead of the number of days.
    Report Date
    The date to view the aging data.
    Note: 
    • You can specify a day in the past or a future.
    • If you do not specify the report date, the current accounting date is used by the application to calculate the aging.
    Include Lease Deposit Balance
    If this check box is selected, the lease deposit details such as the Total Incidental Deposit Balance and the Total Security Deposit Balance linked to the AR account is included in the report.
    Note: These deposits are not considered for the Aging process.
  3. Click Print to print the report.
