Configuring activity rates

Use the Activity Rates tab to build rate periods and rates for activities. You can define the rates by Guest Type. Rates can be specified for Activity and one or more Guest Types. The rates are calculated and totaled. If the Activity Rate is 10.00, Person Rate 5.00 and Child rate 1.00, a booking for 2 adults and 1 child is quoted as 21.00. This calculation is based on the summation of the rate values for 1 activity, 2 persons(Adults) and 1 child.

To configure activity rates:
  1. Select Administration > Property > Activity > Activity Configuration > Activity Rates.
  2. Click New Record.
  3. Specify this information:
    Start Date
    Start and End date represent the start and end date of the rate period. The price of the activity may change over time. It is possible to have several rate periods defined for an activity or to have the same rate period built with the rate being effective for certain days of the week.
    End Date
    Start and End date represent the start and end date of the rate period. The price of the activity may change over time. It is possible to have several rate periods defined for an activity or to have the same rate period built with the rate being effective for certain days of the week.
    Status
    Specify the value as Active to use the activity rates.
    Person
    Specify the rates per person. A person is defined as a guest type any age.
    Activity
    Specify the rates for the activity.
    Guest Type
    Specify the rate for the guest type. Only the guest types for which the check box is selected in the Activity Configuration page, are displayed by the system.
    Day of Week
    Specify at least one day of week on which the activity rates must be used.
