Advance Deposit Automated Posting

Use the Advance Deposit Posting page to specify the Due Date based on which the advance deposits are posted by the system using a batch process. The batch to post the advance deposits runs as part of EOD, as an additional process. The batch posts all advance deposits which are due on the given Hotel Date provided the credit card is used as the method of guarantee. Additionally, the user is notified by the system in case the advance deposit is not posted by the automated batch posting thus allowing the flexibility to manually post it during Check-in.

Listed below are the important features of this functionality:

• The batch posts the deposits to the Advance Deposit Ledger.
• The batch is an additional end of day (EOD) process, which can be enabled or disabled as per the requirement.
• The batch posts the deposits which are due on the given Hotel Date provided the guest stay records have credit card as the method of guarantee.
• The batch process is carried out after the Date Roll step is completed by EOD.
• The error or a warning message is displayed by the system during guest check-in or on the guest stay record, if any advance deposit posting fails.
• The reservation is removed from the queue of job processing when the Deposit Declined check box selected for the guest stay.
