Updating lead time policies

Certain types of businesses will only allow certain types of bookings x number of days before the guest's arrival (Lead Time). Any attempt to book outside of this period would not be allowed. Lead time policies are set at the customer level by rate plan and by track code.
Note: The Booking Eligibility Policy application control must be enabled at the property level.

To maintain lead time policies:

  1. Select Rates and Sales > Revenue Management > Lead Time Policy. The Maintain Lead Time Policy screen is displayed.
  2. In the Rate Plan Search section, specify the search criteria to locate the rate plan to modify, and then click Search. You can search based on the Code, or the Description. The search results are displayed in the Lead Time Policy List.
    Note: You can also search all rate plan codes alphabetically by letter using the hyperlinks in the header area of the page.
  3. Expand the rate plan record for which to update the lead time policy for.
  4. Select the track code record and click Edit.
  5. Edit the Lead Time as necessary.
  6. Click Update.
