Manually assigning rooms

To manually assign a room to a reservation in the Room Blocking screen:

Note: If you do not specify the Room Type, all available rooms are displayed. Guest associated to a lease cannot have their room assignment changed.
  1. Select Front Desk > Room Blocking.
  2. Specify the reservation criteria. If you select the Show Available Only check box, the rooms which are available for the entire duration of the reservation are displayed.
    Note: The application displays the rooms that are available for the duration of the guest stay.
    • The rooms with unit Unit Type set to Room or Suite are displayed.
    • The room is blocked based on the room inventory dates.
    • This inventory duration must be less than or equal to the guest stay date.
  3. Specify the room criteria.
  4. Click Search.
  5. Select a reservation by using the Previous or Next buttons.
  6. Double-click the icon to the left of the room number to assign the room to the reservation shown in the grid. When the owner room rotation method is used and the top room in the list is not assigned, you will be prompted for a reason. See Understanding room rotation.
