France

Various regions of the world make use of a type of taxation known as Value Added Tax (VAT) also known in some regions as Goods and Services Tax (GST).

All members of the European Union (EU) are required to comply with EU VAT (European Union value-added tax). However, different VAT rates are applied in different EU member states. VAT rates also differ based on the type of product and service.

France levies taxes like Value Added Tax (VAT) or Goods and Services Tax (GST) on the transactions that are completed by a property. Such properties enforce a legal requirement to print certain information on the invoice printout. An Invoice from a property that levies VAT or GST is known as a Tax Invoice. A tax invoice by law must include certain information on the printout.
