Event Rate

You use the Event Rate tab to create and maintain rates for various event rooms. For example:

  • Configuring event rates by rate period
  • Configuring event rates by day of week
  • Associating event rates to event rooms
  • Discontinuing a rate by setting it to inactive

To configure an event rate:

  1. Select Administration > Property > Events > Event Rates.
  2. Click New Record.
  3. On the Record View tab, specify this information:
    Rate
    Specify the name and description of the event rate.
    Rate Type
    Specify a type for the new event rate.
    Transaction Code
    Select the transaction code to use for posting the event rate charges.
    Status
    To use the event rate, set the status to Active.
  4. Click the Room Rate Details tab. Specify this information:
    Room
    Select the event room to apply event rates to.
    Start Date
    Specify the date from which the room rates are applicable.
    End Date
    Specify the date until which the room rates are applicable.
    Status
    To associate the rates to the specified room, set the rate status to Active.
    Fixed
    Specify the fixed rate that will be charged for the room for the date range that you have specified.
    Hourly
    Specify the hourly rate that will be charged for the room for the date range that you have specified.
    Daily
    Specify the daily rate that will be charged for the room for the date range that you have specified.
  5. Specify the days of the week on which the defined room rates are applicable. You can specify different room rates for different days of the week.
  6. Click Save . Repeat step 4 to apply rates to each event rooms.
