Activating a channel for a room type category

Channels are configured during installation of HMS. They represent the methods by which customers can reach your property in order to make reservations, for example, via a travel agent, via GDS, website or by calling the Central Reservations Office.

Use the Channel Activation page to activate a channel for a specific room type category. All channels that have been previously assigned to the property are available for activation.

To activate a channel:

  1. Select Administration > Property > Rooms > Channel Activation.
  2. Select a channel.
  3. Update Status to Activate.
  4. Click Submit.
