Creating property messages

To create a property message:

  1. Select Administration > Property > Property Configuration. The Property Configuration screen is displayed.
  2. Select the property in the dataspy.
  3. Click the Messages tab.
  4. Specify this information in the Message Details section:
    Message Topic
    The information related to the room availability.
    Show on Availability
    Select this check box to display the message on the Room Type Availability screen that is specified in the Message Topic field.
    Show on Event Calendar
    Select this check box to display on the Event Room Availability screen that is specified in the Message Topic field.
    Urgent
    Select this check box to indicate that the message is critical and requires high importance.
    Show on Banner
    Select this check box to display the message in the banner of the application.
    Note: You can view only one message at a time on the banner. For the same date/time, if more than one record exists with the Show on Banner check box selected, the Only one message can show on the banner at a time message is displayed.
    Show on Mobile Apps
    Select this check box to display the message on the Room List screen of the iOS and Android Housekeeper App.
    Restrict Housekeepers
    The user(s) of the housekeeper app who must be restricted from viewing the messages.
    Note: You can select multiple users.
    Department
    The department to which the message is linked.
    Note: You must select only from departments of the property.
    Start Date
    The date and time from when the message is displayed on the relevant screen.
    Note: You cannot modify this field if Start Date is prior to the Current Date.
    End Date
    The date and time from when the message is not displayed on the relevant screen.
    Note: You must specify a date that is prior to the Start Date.
  5. Click Save.
    Note: You can also modify the font size and color of the message text that is displayed.
