Merging guest profiles

Merge two existing profiles into one to consolidate duplicate guest profiles and their information. Restricted guest profiles will display with an indicator. Any duplicate guest profiles that are linked in the Profiles tab of other profiles will display with an indicator.
Note: 
  • If the CRMACT install parameter is set to Yes, indicating that the CRM interface is active, you cannot manually merge guest profile records.
  • If the install parameter BestWest is set to Yes, you cannot merge Best Western Profiles.

To merge guest profiles:

  1. Select Profiles > Guest Profile Merge.
  2. In the Guest Profile section, click Guest Search. The Guests window is displayed.
    The Guests search feature applies the VVIP functionality. See, VVIP functionality.
  3. Search for the guest profile to work with using the Dataspy or Quick Filter.
  4. Select the record to work with and the click OK. The Guest Profile is populated with the details of the selected record.
  5. In the Duplicate Guest Profile section, click Guest Search. The Guests window is displayed.
  6. Search for the guest profile to work with using the Dataspy or Quick Filter.
  7. Select the record to work with and the click OK. The Duplicate Guest Profile is populated with the details of the selected record.
  8. Click Save. The duplicate profile is merged into the guest profile, the duplicate guest profile details are cleared, and the duplicate guest profile is set to Inactive.
    Note: You cannot merge two guest profiles if the duplicate guest profile is linked to an activity whose status is Booked and the end date is on or after the hotel date.
