Checking-in a guest using rapid check-in

The Check In screen includes a rapid check-in feature that enables you to initiate the check-in process for a guest or multiple guests at one time on the List View page. If room rotation is used, rooms with the lowest amount of total room points are assigned first. See Understanding room rotation.

To check in a guest using rapid check-in:

  1. Select Front Desk > Check In.
  2. On the List View tab, double-click the guest stay record to work with. You can select multiple records as necessary.
  3. Right-click the guest stay record, and select Update Field. The Update Field window is displayed.
  4. Change this information:
    Field
    Select Status as the field to update.
    New Value
    Select In-house as the new status for the guest.
  5. Click Save. The guest is checked-in and a confirmation message is displayed. Click OK. If the property parameter CKINPCKUPSTATUS is checked and the room assigned has the room status of Pick Up, a message is displayed to the user that states the room has a status of Pick Up and also includes the last date and time the room was cleaned.
    Note:  The rapid check-in process will bypass the settings that require printing a registration card and generating a room key, and will also check in a guest account with a credit card settlement type that has not yet been authorized.
