Removing a guest from a share

In the case of a guest cancellation or other change in guest plans, you can remove a guest from a share. Removing a guest from a share creates a guest stay independent from the share, and you must re-assign the guest a room. Removing a guest from a share that is associated to a lease will remove the lease information and update the rate to the lease shoulder rate plan.

To remove a guest from a share:

  1. Select Front Desk > Guest Stay.
  2. On the List View tab, select the guest stay record to work with and click the Share tab.
  3. In the Share Summary, select the guest name to remove from the share.
  4. Click Remove Share. The guest is removed from the share and the Share Summary is updated. If the guest removed was included in the Share Rate split, then the share percentages are recalculated. If the Rate Split Method for the share is a Custom Split, the share percentages are pro-rated so the total percentage is 100%. If the Rate Split Method is Even Split, the share percentages are automatically recalculated based on the remaining number of payers on the share.
