Copying guest reservations

Use the Copy Record toolbar button to copy a guest stay record from one record to another record. Copying a record creates an editable copy of the record that contains the same base data.

To copy a guest reservation:

  1. Select Front Desk > Guest Stay.
  2. On the List View tab, select the guest stay record to copy.
  3. Click Copy Record. The system copies values from the previously selected record to the new record, including custom fields, and displays the Record View tab in insert mode.
  4. Modify the record as necessary. Refer to Creating guest reservations.
  5. Click Save Record. The reservation is saved and the confirmation number from the original copied record is appended with a dash and the next sequential number based on the number of times the original record has been copied. For example, if the confirmation number for the original record is 12345678, the confirmation number for the first copied record is 12345678-1 and 12345678-2 for the second.
    Note: 
    • When a guest stay that is linked to an Add-on package is copied to another record, the package name is not copied.
    • The Deposit Declined check box is cleared when a copy of the reservation is created.
