Selecting rows in lists

You can select rows in a list to perform these tasks:

  • View the record that is associated with the row
  • Copy the row data from a lookup to fields on a page
  • Specify records on which to perform an action

To select rows in a list:

  1. Open a page or lookup that contains a list of records.
  2. Click anywhere in a row to select the row.
  3. Perform one of these steps:
    Option Description
    Perform an action on the selected row Click the button corresponding with the action.
    If the row is in list view, view the details of the record that is associated with the row Double-click the row. The associated record is opened in record view.
    If the row is in a lookup list view, copy the row data to fields on the original page Double-click the row, or select the row and then click OK. The lookup is closed, and the data in the corresponding fields on the page is displayed.
