Defining property parameters

Define property parameters to configure system and environment settings and behavior at the property level.

To define property parameters:

  1. Select Administration > Property > Property Configuration.
  2. On the List View tab, select the property record to work with.
  3. Click the Parameters tab.
  4. Select the parameter to work with from the Parameters list. The Control Details and Record details are populated with the current parameter settings.
  5. Specify the required information in the Control Details section:
    Status
Indicates the current status of the parameter. Possible values:
    • Active: The parameter is available for the current release.
    • Inactive: The parameter is to be released in future version.
Note: By default, the Status of a new property parameter is set to Inactive prior to the release.
    Value
    The value of the parameter.
Note: This field is updated with the value specified in the Next Release Value field if the Status of the parameter is set to Active.
    Next Release Value
The value of the parameter to be released.
Note: The value in this field is cleared after the release.
  6. Click Save.
Note: The Default check box indicates whether the current value for a parameter is the default setting. When the setting of a parameter is modified to value other than the default setting, Default is unchecked automatically. If the setting of a parameter is later restored to the default setting, Default is automatically checked to indicate that the parameter is once again set to its default value.
