Maintain application controls

Application controls are default settings that determine and affect how the system operates and enable you to tailor system behavior for your needs. You can set application controls at the global, main-level property, channel and main property/channel level, however, not all levels are valid for all controls.

To maintain application controls:

  1. Select Administration > Security > CRS Application Parameters. The Maintain Controls tab of the Maintain Application Controls page is displayed showing a complete list of the application controls.
    Note: To change the property for which you are viewing or maintaining application settings, click the Property Select hyperlink in the Property Info section and select the appropriate property from the properties list.
  2. Click the Application Control tab.
  3. Locate the application control to modify from the Select Control list and click Select. The application control is displayed in Data Type.
  4. Click Add. The record is displayed in Control Attributes section.
  5. Specify this information:
    Property
    Select the property to which to apply the application control.
    Channel Name
    Select the channel name to which to apply the application control.
    Note:  Property and Channel Name are automatically populated based on whether you have system privileges to modify property and channel level controls for the selected application controls.
    Value
    Choose one of these options:
    Option 1 Option 2
    Select Yes to enable the application control. Select No to disable the application control.
  6. Click Save. The application control setting is saved and Updated By and Updated On are populated with user information and a time stamp.
    Note: After saving the application control settings, click Edit to modify the setting or click Delete to delete the setting.
