Modifying guarantee methods

Modify guarantee methods to activate or deactivate particular guarantee codes or to update guarantee requirements.

To modify guarantee methods:

  1. Select Administration > Configuration > Configure Guarantee Methods.
  2. Specify the guarantee method code to modify from the Guarantee Method Code list. The detailed code information is displayed in the Configure Guarantee Methods section.
    Note: You can search all guarantee profiles alphabetically by letter using the hyperlinks in the footer area of the Configure Guarantee Methods section.
  3. Specify this information:
    Guarantee Method Name
    Modify the name of the guarantee method.
    Description
    Modify the description of the guarantee method.
    Guarantee requirements
    Modify the requirement types by which the guarantee is made. Your choices are: Credit Card, Organization, Booking Agency, Direct Bill Account, and Advanced Deposit.
  4. Update the Status of the guarantee method as necessary. Choose one of these options:
    Option Description
    Activate Click Activate to update the status of the guarantee method to Active.
    Deactivate Click Deactivate to update the status of the guarantee method to Inactive.
  5. Click Update. The record is saved.
