Generating the Rate Variance Report

Use the Rate Variance Report to view the reservation details with Stay Date Rate value 50% less than the BAR rate value.

To generate the report:

  1. Select Administration > Reports > Accounting > Rate Plan > Rate Variance Report.
  2. Specify this information in the Report Parameter section:
    Property
    The property code for which the report is generated. This value is defaulted with the session property.
    Note: You can modify this value.
    Confirmation Number
    The confirmation number generated for the guest stay.
    Note: The Start Date and End Date are not considered, when the confirmation number is specified.
    Status
    Select the status of the reservation. The report includes all the reservations with the selected status. By default, this field is set to Reserved, In-House and Pre-registered.
    Note: You can modify this value and select multiple values.
    Created By
    The ID of the user, who generates the report.
    Variance Percent
    The Variance Percent is the difference between the Bar Rate and the Stay Date Rate and is calculated by the formula:
    Variance = (Bar Rate – Stay Date Rate) / Bar Rate
    Note: By default, this value is set to 50.
  3. Select the Include All Stay Dates check box to include the reservations with Stay Date same as the Start Date or the End Date. If the Stay Date of the reservation has a Variance same as or greater than the Variance parameter, all stays dates are included in the report.
  4. Select the Include Complimentary and House Use check box to include the reservations with rate plan specified as a Complimentary or House Use Rate.
  5. Specify the Start Date and the End Date in the Date Range section.
    Note: By default, the Start Date and the End Date are set to the Hotel date.
  6. Click Print Record.
    Note: 
    • You can sort this report using Guest Name, Room Number, Arrival Date and Variance. The order in which the report is sorted.
    • By default, the report is sorted by the Guest Name.
    • You cannot view the details of a guest profile, if the:
      • User VVIP Authorization is set to No on the User Group screen.
      • User VVIP Authorization is set to Host, but the user is not the VVIP Host configured on the selected Guest Record.
      • User VVIP Authorization is not specified on the User Group screen.
      • The report applies Incognito enhancement. See Incognito Functionality
