Generating the Preference report

The Preference report lists all the guest preferences for the guest stay records with Reserved and the In-house within the specified date range.

The report displays a total of the individual guest preferences and the total of all the guest preferences for the selected Preference code in the report. These preferences specified by the guests include newspaper delivery, cot requirement, breakfast specifications specified by the guests.

To generate the Preference report:

  1. Select Administration > Reports > Guest Stay > Preference Report > .
  2. Select the property for which the report is generated. The application defaults the property for which the report is generated.
    Note: You can modify this value.
  3. Specify this information in the Report Parameters section:
    Preference
    The guest preference code based on which the guest stay details are included in the report. The possible values are Global, Property and Brand.
    Department
    The code of the department.
    Note: Department can be specified on the Guest Stay screen, if the preference type is set to Global.
  4. Select the Status related check boxes such as Cancelled, Checked Out, No Show and Waitlist to also include these preference details in the report
    Note: By default, the In-house and Reserved check boxes are selected.
  5. Specify the Start Date and End Date to include the guest preference related date. All the arrival and departure data in the specified date range are included in the report.
    Note: By default, the Start Date and End Date are set to the Hotel Date.
  6. Click Print.
    Note: 
    • You can sort this report by Account, Name, Room and Department.
    • By default, the report is sorted by the Name (guest name).
    • This report is grouped by Guest Stay status.
    • The report displays the record details for the VVIP guest based on the VVIP functionality.
