Validating and updating Items

You can use the Non Validated tab to review the item details that are defaulted from the Revenue Center screen.

The tab comprises of two sections. The first section displays the list of items and details. The second section displays the details of the items selected in the first section.

To review, update and approve the items:

  1. Select Item Harmony > Enterprise Dashboard > Non Validated tab.
  2. Select the item.
    Note: The details of the Revenue Center linked to the item are defaulted in the Detail section..
  3. Review this information in the Details section:
    Lookup
    The barcode linked to the item. You can define multiple barcodes for an item.
    Local Item ID
    The local code and description of the item.
    Product ID
    The product code and description of the item.
    Sub Category ID
    The code and description of the subcategory linked to the item.
    Category ID
    The code and description of the category linked to the sub category.
    Sub Menu ID
    The code and description of the sub menu linked to the item.
    Modifier Group
    The Modifier Groups associated with the Revenue Center Items.
    Validation Notes
    The notes or comments related to the validation of the item.
    Validation Status
    The status of the validation of the item. Possible values:
    • Validated
    • Non Validated
    Price
    The selling price of the item in the revenue center.
    Note: You can modify this value. The value is updated only for the Revenue Center Item if item is available at the Master Item level.
    Master Price
    The price of the item specified on the Master Item screen.
    Cost
    The expense incurred for an item.
    Item Size
    The size of the item.
    Item Unit
    The unit in which the size of the item is measured.
    Is Condiment
    Select the check box to indicate that the item is a condiment. Condiment are items such as salt, mustard, or pickle that adds flavor to the other items.
    Button Tags
    The term used for group the items.
    Note: If Tags are unavailable, the items cannot be grouped.
    Button Status
    The status of the button. The value is defaulted from the Revenue Center screen when item is for validation.
    Button Text
    The text on the button. The value is defaulted from the Revenue Center screen when item is for validation.
    Note: You must specify this value if Button Status is set to Active.
    Master Button Text
    The text on the button. The value is populated from the Button Text field on the Master Item screen.
  4. Select the item record.
  5. Select the Review Complete option on the Action menu to validate the non validated item.
    Note: 
    • A notification email is sent to the Revenue Center only if the Item Validated is Active check box is selected on the Revenue Center screen.
    • A notification email is sent to the administrator that items are waiting for validation, only if the Item Notification is Active check box is selected on the Revenue Center screen.
  6. Select the item record.
  7. Select Action > Update Field option to update the details of the item.
  8. Click Save.
