Working with property room allocations

You can use the Availability Management page to control room sales by specifying room inventory for properties where Infor Hospitality Management Solution is not the source of room inventory. For example, if a customer has a different PMS where they have configured rooms and created inventory and they only use the CRS functionality of Infor Hospitality Management Solution. Since rooms are not configured in HMS/CRS they can use this screen to specify what the inventory is. Allocations can be made for a range of dates for the entire property, or by room type. The rooms allocated in this screen are the number of rooms that can be sold at each property. When maintaining the stay dates on a guest stay in Infor Hospitality Management Solution or CRS, the system uses the inventory assigned here to verify room type availability for your property on the dates of the guest stay.

The allocation limit is displayed in red color. The number of rooms picked up is displayed in blue color. The number of rooms remaining is displayed in green color.

You can specify the overbooking limit for suite rooms only if you set the ALLOWSUITEOVERBOOKING property parameter to WITHOUTCOMPONENTOVERBOOKING and the Inventory Control Type CRS application control to Control Overbooking. The application adds the overbooking limit to the suite room availability to calculate the total availability of the suite rooms. This total availability of suite rooms is displayed on the applicable screens.
Note: If the ALLOWSUITEOVERBOOKING property parameter is set to WITHOUTCOMPONENTOVERBOOKING and the Inventory Control Type CRS application control to Control Overbooking, the availability of suite rooms does not depend on the overbooking limit of the component rooms.
