Configuring the rate for a non room item

You can configure the rate for a non room item using the Rate Configuration tab.
  1. Select Rate and Sales > Pricing > Non Room Items. The Non Room Items screen is displayed.
  2. Click the Price Scheduleoption in the Non Room Details section. The Non Room Item Pricing Schedule window is displayed.
  3. Click Add to add the required rate periods in the Rate Periods tab.
  4. Click the Rate Configuration tab.
  5. Specify this information:
    Room Type Category
    The category under which the room type is classified.
    Note: This field is enabled only if the Room Type field is not specified.
    Room Type
    The type of the room.
    Note: This field is enabled only if the Room Type Category field is not specified.
    Room Type for Charge
    If this check box is selected, the room rate is calculated based on the room type that is specified initially, even if the guest is assigned to a different room type.
    Price
    The pricing type that determines how rates are applied to the room type.e of the room.
  6. Click Save. The non room item details are displayed in the grid.
    Note: The Rate Configuration tab is enabled only if a rate period is selected.
