Creating Group Booking Associations

Use the Group Booking tab to map one or more group bookings to a property rate plan. When a reservation is received from an external reservation system, with a rate plan that is not linked to a group booking, the configured association is used to automatically assign the appropriate group booking. This process helps ensure that reservations are linked to the correct group block for accurate inventory records.

To associate a group booking with a property rate plan:

  1. Select Rates and Sales > Pricing > Property Rate Plan. The Property Rate Plan screen is displayed.
  2. Select an existing rate plan from the List View tab.
  3. Click New Record on the Group Booking tab.
  4. Specify this information in the Group Booking section:
    Group
    The code of the group booking to be associated with the rate plan.
    Group Name
    The name of the selected group booking. By default, this value is displayed based on the selected Group.
    Note: This value cannot be modified.
  5. Click Save.
    Note: You can associate a group booking with a rate plan only once. If the selected group booking is already associated with the rate plan, the warning message is displayed.
