Setting up channel allocations

You can use the Channel Allocation Setup page to set the channels available to a property, and to set the channel controls for the channel.

The allocation types are indicated as follows:

  • : Overall Control.
  • : Room Type Control.
  • : Rate Plan Control.
  • : Package Plan Control.
  • : Promotion Control.

The initial allocation is shown as follows:

  • : Closed.
  • : Open.

To set channel allocations:

  1. Select Rate and Sales > Revenue Management > Channel Allocation.
  2. Select the ✔ checkbox at the end of the property row for the property you wish to set up channel allocations for.
    Note: In the Property Search section, select the location in the location filter or the search criteria to locate the property to set up channel allocations for, and then click Search where multiple properties exist. The Set Channels and Set Controls buttons become active.
  3. Click Set Channels.
  4. Select channels, click Save.
  5. Click Set Controls.
  6. Specify this information:
    Initial Allocation
    Select the initial allocation. Your options are Open and Closed.
    Allocation Method
    Select the allocation method. Your options include Property, Room Category, Rate Plan, Package Plan, and Promotion.
  7. Click Save.
