Resort fees
Resort fee functionality is used to automatically calculate and charge guests for resort fees that are posted along with room charges. The feature gives your property the ability to assign what resort fee is charged to a guest or group including the ability to exempt the fee.
Multiple resort fee definitions can be set up with different posting rules for groups, loyalty members, VIP or transient guests. The resort fee charged to the guest is calculated based on the posting rules of the resort fee definition code assigned to their account. A resort fee definition code can be designated as the default code to be assigned where none was selected by the user.
Resort fee definition codes are selected on the guest stay during the time of reservation, or copied from the group booking master to the group delegate reservation. If a new guest profile is created during the reservation process, the resort fee definition code from the reservation will be saved to the profile. Resort fee definition codes can also be assigned to organization and booking agency profiles. If any profile information on the guest stay is updated, the resort fee definition code is updated to the last profile saved on the guest.
