Working with tax status

Use the Tax Status page to set up the user defined names and descriptions for types of tax status that a property uses. The tax status that you specify in this page help the booking clerk to select an appropriate tax status for a guest. You can specify any account as tax exempt except the following:

• Gift Card
• Credit Card
• Advance Deposit
• Sundry Account

For a guest, you can specify a tax status on the Record View tab of the Guest Stay page.

The actual tax calculations are set up on the Tax Groups page.
