Working with transaction codes

Use the Transaction Code screen to create and maintain transaction codes. The Transaction Codes represent transaction types used to post revenue, charges, and settlements to the accounts, related to the property.

The costs, associated with different products and services in the property for which a guest can be charged, are modeled using transaction codes. If the guest uses these products and services, the associated costs are posted to the guest folio using these transaction codes.

Transaction Codes are used to post financial transactions to the accounts related to the property. Transaction codes can either represent charges (debits) by specifying Revenue Type, or payments/settlements (credits) by specifying Pay Type.
