Event item

You can use the Event Item tab to configure the items that are used in the event. Event items are user configurable codes that are associated with event reservations to indicate what food and beverage, equipment and service items are required for a given event. Event item codes are also used to configure the event menus.

To create an event item:

  1. Select Administration > Property > Events > Event Item.
  2. Click New Record.
  3. In the Record View tab, specify this information:
    Item
    Specify the item name and description. This is a mandatory field.
    Item Type
    Specify the item type. You can select the type as Event Beverage or Event Food. If required, you can use global codes to define additional item types.
    Status
    To use the item, set the status of the event item to Active.
    Inventory
    Specify the number of event items that are required.
    Allow Overbooking
    Select the check box to allow the event item to be over booked.
    Item Unit Price
    Specify the price for each unit of an event item.
    Item Unit Cost
    The cost incurred for each unit of an event item.
    Start Date
    Specify the date from which the event item is available to be used.
    End Date
    Specify the date from which the event item is unavailable and cannot be used.
    Transaction Code
    Select the code that you want to use to post the transactions for this event item.
    Department
    Select the department which is responsible for the event item.

  4. Click Save to save the record.
