Room types

The Administration > Property > Rooms > Room Types menu is used to create and maintain codes that represent the types of rooms throughout your property. You can set room type sell priority, define suite component room types, add selling notes, add pictures, and set annual valuation amounts for the room types.

The room type page functions in two modes: Single Tier and Multiple Tier and is controlled by the CRS Application Parameter ROOMTYPECONFIGURATION. In Single Tier mode, you only set up Room Types and the system creates a Room Type Category of same name in the background. The room type code and room type category have a one to one relationship. This is the only instance that room type categories do not need to be maintained. In Multiple Tier mode, room type categories must be created and you can define multiple room types for the same room type category.
