Updating room status

You can update the room status, housekeeping status, and service type for single or multiple rooms. You cannot change the housekeeping status value of a room with a current status of Out of Service. An orange diamond is displayed in the first column of a row to indicate the row has changed and an orange indicator is displayed in the DND, Room Status, Service Type, and Housekeeping Status columns to indicate which statuses have changed.

Click DND, Room Status, Service Type, and Housekeeping Status icons, or select rooms to update the room. Click Update List to modify the rooms based on the criteria provided earlier.

  1. Select Housekeeping > Room Status Update.
  2. Specify this information:
    Building
    The code of the building associated with the room.
    Floor
    The code of the floor associated with the room.
    Housekeeping Status
    The housekeeping status of the room.
    Housekeeper Assigned
    The housekeeping employee assigned for the room.
    Actions
    The code of the actions associated with the room.
    Do Not Disturb
    Select this check box if the guest must not be disturbed.
    Priority Clean
    If this check box is selected, the room must be cleaned on priority.
    Attendant in Room
    Select this check box if an attendant is assigned to a room.
    Room Status
    The status of the room.
    Front Desk Status
    The room status as displayed in the Front Desk.
    Room Type
    The room types to be updated.
    Note: You can select multiple Room Type.
    From Room
    The room number from which the room status is required to be updated.
    To Room
    The room number up to which the room status is required to be updated.
    Virtual Room
    The code of the virtual room.
    Note: 
    • You can select multiple virtual rooms.
    • The “Display in Housekeeping” check box setting in the Room Configuration screen is not considered.
  3. Select the rooms to update using one of these methods:
    • Select the check-box in the grid column header to select all the rooms in the search results.
    • Select the check-box next to the room number for each room to update.
    Note: 
    • You cannot select the DND checkbox for a room, if the Front Desk Status or Housekeeping Status is set to Out of Service, Vacant or Manual Room Hold.
    • If Attendant in Room check box is selected, the Cleaning Start Time and Cleaning End Time fields cannot be modified.
    • The Last Cleaned field is updated only if the property parameter UPDATELASTCLEANED is specified.
  4. Click the Update Criteria that you require.
  5. Click Update List.
  6. Click Save Record.
