Working with housekeeping assignments
You use the Housekeeping Assignment page to assign rooms to housekeeping employees for housekeeping services, and to assign rooms for turndown service. The rooms that are available for housekeeping assignments are the rooms that are configured to be available for housekeeping assignments. Assignments are made based on the occupancy, room status, cleaning status, location, and room points. Some properties have a limit as to how many room points or rooms a housekeeper can be assigned on any given day. The combination of the Service Type (Full Service, Light Service), the Housekeeping Status (Vacant/ Occupied/None) and the Room Status (Dirty, Clean) fields help determine the workload, measured in room points, per room. The page contains two tabs, Assignment and Auto Assignment.
The Assignment tab shows a record for each room. You can assign individual or multiple rooms to a housekeeper by selecting the room rows.
The Assignment tab also displays the guest details such as the Last Name, First Name and NRG attribute, if applicable. The NRG column is displayed before the Last name column. The last name of the guest is prefixed with *NRG* if the guest is designated as a Non Registered Guest. The grid also displays the details of room status and the housekeeping tasks associated to it. Data in the fields such as the Action, Scheduled Return Time, Cleaning Start Time and Cleaning End Time are updated based on the latest records.
The Auto Assignment tab is used to automatically assign housekeeping assignments based on criteria selected. It contains an option to preserve current assignments. The tab is also used to assign turndown assignments. You cannot assign housekeeping assignments and turndown assignments at the same time. To allow the system to sort by building, wing, floor, and section; you must specify a value in the Housekeeping Sort Order field on the Room Configuration page.
The Housekeeping Assignment Report can be printed from either tab by clicking , then selecting Print. When printed from this screen the report will show assignments for all employees.
If the Incognito check box is selected for a guest, the user must have Incognito Authorization to view the Guest Name and the Account details. See Incognito Functionality
