Overriding the RMS overbooking limit

The IDeaS Revenue Management System (RMS) recommends overbooking limits. You can override the overbooking limits at the property level, or on the room type level.

To override RMS overbooking recommendations:

  1. Select Rates and Sales > Revenue Management > Recommendations. The RMS Recommendations Summary screen is displayed.
  2. Click the Scroll Left and Scroll Right buttons or use the interactive calendar to select the dates for which you want to view the recommendations.
  3. Click the date link.
  4. In the Overbooking Limit section of the screen, click Edit. A User Override Limit field is available for the property level overbooking limit, and User Override Limit fields are available for each room type for the room type level.
  5. Specify the User Override Limits.
  6. Click Save. The Overbooking Limits are updated and denoted with an asterisk.
