Setting a tentative group block to affect house availability

When a group booking has a Tentative status, a block of rooms may be entered. The block of rooms is not removed from house availability until the group status is Definite. You can opt to have the room block of a group booking with Tentative status removed from house availability. This is done on a group booking basis.

To have a room block of a group in Tentative status removed from house availability:

  1. Select Group Sales > Group Booking.
  2. On the List View tab, select a group booking.
  3. On the Block tab, select Tentative Room Block Affects House Availability check box. This check box is only displayed when the group status is Tentative. When the group is in Tentative status and the check box is clear, any block that is entered does not affect availability. When the group is in Tentative status and check box is selected, any block that is entered does affect availability.
  4. Click Save Record.
