Working with guest stay action buttons

On the Record View tab of the Guest Stay screen, a number of buttons are displayed that provide quick access to basic guest stay functions. You can hover over an icon to view a description of its meaning. This table provides descriptions of each button.
Note: Many of the guest stay action buttons are also accessible in the Share With Details section on the Shares tab of the Guest Stay screen.
Button Function
Duplicate Reservation: Creates identical copy of the selected reservation. Refer to Duplicating guest reservations.
Check-in: Initiates the check-in process for the guest. Refer to Checking in a guest from a guest reservation.
Check-out: Initiates the check-out process for the guest. Refer to Checking out a guest from a guest reservation.
Cancel reservation: Cancels the guest reservation. Refer to Canceling guest reservations.
Displays print options for guest forms such as registration cards, folios, activities, and pro forma. Refer to Printing a guest folioand Printing a guest registration card.
Email documents: Opens the Email Documents window to send documents to guests on demand. Refer to Emailing documents.
Generate room key: Opens the Generate Keys page, enabling you to generate keys for the guest. Refer to Generating room keys.
Note: The Manage Guest Keys icon is displayed in the Actions menu only when the Key Vendor Direct Interface check box is selected on the Room Key Configuration screen. See, Managing the guest keys
Room assignment: Opens the Room Assignment page, enabling you to assign a room for the guest stay and guest stay shares. Refer to Assigning a guest room.
Rate details: Opens the Rate Details window, enabling you to view rate detail information for the guest stay and guest stay shares. Refer to Viewing guest stay rate details.
Stay wizard: Opens the Stay Wizard window, enabling you to apply room, room type, rate plan, and rate adjustments and changes to a guest stay or guest stay share. Refer to Modifying guest stay reservations using the stay wizard.
Activity: Opens the Activity Booking List page, displaying the booked activities linked to the guest stay. Refer to Using the Activity Booking List.
Add-Ons: Opens the Add-Ons page, enabling you to upgrade a guest stay with add-ons such as meal plans, additional items, packages, and bundles to the guest reservation. Refer to Upgrading a guest stay with an add-on.
Advance posting: Enables you to post the anticipated room and package charges at the beginning of the stay, rather than waiting for EOD to post them.
Lease upgrade: Opens the Lease Upgrade page.
Guest search: Opens the Guest Search page, enabling you to search for a guest profile internally, or within an external CRM system. Refer to Searching for a guest profile.
Rate Split: Opens the Rate Split screen from the Share With Details on the Shares tab, enabling you to enter a rate split method and rate percentages for guest stay shares. Refer to Splitting rates for shares.
Search: Opens the Credit Cards screen when entering Guarantee information, enabling you to select a credit card to use as the guarantee method for the guest stay.
Modify: Enables you to edit the credit card information when entering or updating Guarantee information on a guest stay record.
New: Enables you to enter a new credit card to use as the Guarantee method on a guest stay record.
Copy From Guarantee: Copies the guarantee method to the settlement details for the guest stay.
CRM Guest DetailsCRM Guest Details: If the property parameter GETCRMDETAILS check box is selected, and the Managed Profile ID field on the Guest Profile page has a value, the button is enabled. Click the button to obtain additional stay and revenue details from a CRM. The Managed Profile ID field contains a value when HMS is exchanging guest profiles with a partner system and that partner has sent the profile to HMS.
