Same Day Reservations Report
This report lists unexpected arrivals within the specified date range. An unexpected arrival is a same day reservation or walk-in. The report includes room, guest name, account number, VIP level, status, walk-in indicator, arrival and departure dates, room type, rate code, number of guests, number of nights, and average rate. The report then gives a summary for total number of guests, total nights, total average rate, total reservations for all guest accounts represented on the report.
You can filter the report by specifying the property, room type, and rate plan. Room type and rate plan are multi select. You can optionally include guest statuses of checked out, in-house, pre-registered, and reserved. You can sort the report by rate plan or room type.
The following are some of the important points to be noted:
- This report is looking for guest stay records where the arrival date is the same as the reservation date.
- This report does not include guest statuses of wait list, cancelled or no show.
- If multiple values are entered on multiple fields on the report parameter screen and at least one value is in conflict with another value, no records will be returned.
- When a guest stay has a scheduled room move during the stay-over dates, the report displays the new room. When the report date equals the hotel date and a guest account has a scheduled room move for that day, the report must verify the "Reservation Stay Date Room" verses the "Current Room", when they do not match the report will use the current room.
- If a guest stay has a scheduled room type, room number or rate change, the report will display subsequent lines of information for the account. The subsequent rows will only display the room or rate change and the number of nights at the new room or rate and will not be counted in the Total Reservations field.
