Understanding install parameters

During the Infor HMS installation process, installation parameters enable different modules/system components and establish many default values for your system, such as multi-organization security, default language, default currency, etc. Part of the installation process involves running scripts that set these default values in theInfor HMS database, and many of the scripts contain values known as installation codes or parameters.

Many of the parameters set during installation are "fixed," which means that once the parameter is set, the value/setting of the parameter cannot be changed or modified. Fixed parameters are also designated in the tables below.

Unless otherwise indicated, all non-fixed parameters can be set as necessary following the Infor HMS installation to tailor your system environment. Refer to Defining installation parameters and Modifying installation parameters.
