Searching a room using the Room Plan screen (with NEWRMPLN install parameter activated)

  1. Select Front Desk > Room Plan. The Room Plan screen is displayed.
  2. Click the Filter option.
  3. Specify this information:
    Room Type
    The code of the Room Type to be searched.
    Note: 
    • You can select multiple values in this field.
    • You cannot select a Room Type for which the Run of House check box is on the Room Type screen.
    Room
    The room number to be searched.
    Note: You can select multiple values in this field.
    Room Attributes
    The attributes associated with the room.
    Note: You can select multiple values in this field.
    Show Due Outs
    Select this check box to include the In-House or Confirmed rooms that are assigned to guests who are expected to depart on the current Hotel date.
    Note: By default, this check box is selected.
    Non-Smoking
    Select this check box to include the rooms where smoking is not allowed.
    Vacant Rooms Only
    Select this check box to include only the vacant rooms in the search result.
    Clean Rooms Only
    Select this check box to include only the clean rooms in the search result.
    Attendant in Room
    Select this check box to include rooms with exclusive attendants in the search result.
    Building
    The building linked to the rooms. The value in this fields are defined on the Global Codes screen.
    Wing
    The wing linked to the rooms. The value in this fields are defined on the Global Codes screen.
    Floor
    The floor linked to the rooms. The value in this fields are defined on the Global Codes screen.
    Room Status
    The status of room to be included in the search result.
  4. Click Search. The data is displayed based on the specified search criteria.
  5. Click on a cell in the grid to access these options:
    • Create Guest Stay: Use this option to create a new guest stay for the room.
    • Create Work Order: Use this option to create a work order for the room.
    • Create Manual Room Hold: Use this option to create a room hold.
  6. Click on a room number to access these options:
    • Room Information: Use this option to view the information about the room.
    • Update Room Status: Use this option to update the status of the room.
    • Walk-In Guests: Use this option to create a walk-in reservation for the room.
  7. Click on the room type to access the Room Type Information window wherein you can view the information related to the room type.
  8. Click a guest stay in the grid to access the Guest Details window wherein you can view and modify the guest details such as preferences, experiences and additional guest details.
