Managing Room Reconfiguration

Use this screen to process room reconfiguration requests.

To manage the room reconfiguration:

  1. Select Administration > Property > Rooms > Room Reconfiguration.
  2. Review this information in the Processing Details section:
    Processing Status
    The status of the room reconfiguration process. This value is defaulted.
    User
    The ID of the user.
    Pre view
    If this check box is selected, you can review and validate the room configuration.
  3. Click Details, to access the Room Reconfiguration Process Details screen.
  4. .Specify this information in the Activate Room Records section:
    Activate Rooms
    If this check box is selected, the Run Process for rooms in Inactive status is enabled and you can select the required room number.
  5. Click Save.
    Note: The selected rooms are activated and the Processing Status is set to Currently Running.
  6. Specify this information in the Convert Room Type Blocks section:
    Convert Group Blocks
    If this check box is selected, the application resets the old room type specified for the group bookings to the new room type.
    Convert Unblocked guest stays
    If this check box is selected, the application resets the old room type specified for the unblocked guest stays rooms to the new room type.
    Convert Booking Agency Blocks
    If this check box is selected, the application resets the old room type specified for the booking agency rooms to the new room type.
    Note: 
    1. If the Convert Group Blocks checkbox is selected, the Group field is enabled.
    2. If the Convert Unblocked guest stays checkbox is selected, the Guest Stays field is enabled.
    3. If the Convert Booking Agency Blocks checkbox is selected, the Booking Agency Contracts field is enabled.
    4. If the Convert Group blocks or theConvert Unblocked Guest Stays or the Convert Booking Agency Blocks checkbox is selected, these fields are enabled:
      • Old Room Type
      • New Room Type
      • Start Date
      • End Date
    5. The Start Date and End Date are set to the current date and time.
    6. Click Save.
  7. Specify this information in the Update Room Inventory Dates section:
    Update Inventory Start Date
    If this check box is selected, the Run Process to update the start dates is enabled.
    New Inventory Start Date
    If this check box is selected, a new inventory start date is set to a date later than the current Hotel Date.
    Update Inventory End Date
    If this check box is selected, the Run Process for updating end dates is enabled.
    New Inventory End Date
    If this check box is selected, a new inventory end date is set to a date later than the current Hotel date.
  8. Click Save.
