Comping folio transactions

Use the Comp Folio Transactions pop-up to comp existing transactions on a guest folio or post a lump sum comp amount. You can also use a voucher or a comp slip issued by the casino management system against the player's account.

You can access the Comp Folio Transactions pop-up from multiple screens such as:

  • Front Desk > Guest Stay > Folio > Folio (Actions) > Comp Folio Transactions
  • Front Desk > Accounts > Folio > Folio (Actions) > Comp Folio Transactions
  • Front Desk > Account Balances > Folio > Folio (Actions) > Comp Folio Transactions
  • Front Desk > Check-In > Folio > Folio (Actions) > Comp Folio Transactions
  • Front Desk > Check-Out > Folio > Folio (Actions) > Comp Folio Transactions

To comp the folio transactions:

  1. Select Front Desk > Guest Stay > Folio > Folio (Actions) > Comp Folio Transactions.
  2. Specify this information:
    Casino Player
    Specify the casino player for whom you want to comp a transaction or a lump sum amount.
    Folio
    Specify the folio. Select the folio line that you wants to comp.
    Authorization Code
    Specify the authorization code to validate the user permissions.
    Comp Notes
    The information related to the details of the user who approves the comp. This field is displayed only when the comp authorizer is not the same as the person who approves the comp. A user is assigned a number of limited comps (the maximum comps) the user can approve. However, the user can approve more comps if this permission is provided by the assigned authorizer.
    Prize Code
    Select the Global Code Comp Prize Code for the comp folio.
    Note: 
    • This field is available only when the CMSPRTNR parameter is set to Pechanga.
    • The prize code must be selected for a discretionary comp.
    Amount
    Specify the amount that you want to comp if the Comp Method is Comp Amount.
    Selected Amount
    The amount of the folio charge transaction that is comped using the comp slip.
    Note: 
    • This value is defaulted from the amount charged for the folio transaction selected by the user.
    • The value must be same as or less than the comp redemption amount (Amount from the comp redemption details of the comp slip retrieved from the CMS).
    • The install parameter CMSPARTNER must be set to Aristocrat.
    Comp Amount Method
    Specify if you want to apply the comp amount as a lump sum or to a charge.
    Comp Slip Number
    Specify the comp slip number. The comp slip can be applied to the specific folio charges that must be comped. Alternatively, the application comps the folio charges based on the amount of the comp slip, using the configured comp transaction priority. The following conditions must be met:
    • The install parameter CMSPARTNER = Aristocrat
    • Property parameter CMSAUTOSETTLE is unchecked.
    Note: The Comp Folio Transaction screen can be configured to view the player fields related to the Pechanga integration. The screen also allows you to search for marketing offers for a player. The marketing offer selected in the Retrieve Player Offers option, populates these fields:
    • Offer Type
    • Offer Name
    • Offer ID
    If the selected offer type is Comp Slip or E-comp, the Offer Type and the Comp Slip Number (Transaction ID) fields are populated.

    The comp slip must have a value and an Issued status for the redemption of the amount.

  3. Review the information related to Folio, Transaction Code, POS Summary Detail in the grid.
  4. Click POS Summary Detail option corresponding to a record in the grid. The POS Summary Charge Detail window is displayed. The details such as Amount, Comp Amount, POS Summary Reference are displayed.
    Note: 
    • You must select the COMPPOSCHARGEDETAIL property parameter to enable the POS Summary Detail option.
    • For a selected POS charge the Comp Amount field is protected and the Select check box is cleared and protected in the grid.
  5. Click Action. Select:
    1. Retrieve Player Banks to select a bank to which the comps must be charged.
    2. Retrieve Player offers to select the marketing offers that are available to the player based to the assigned player value.
  6. When you select the offer for which the charges are to be comped, the offer is redeemed in the CMS.
    Note: 
    • You can redeem an offer even if the transaction is posted.
    • You can select an offer that is applicable to the existing charges on the folio.
    • You cannot avail offers that are already redeemed.
  7. Click Submit to complete the comp process.
