Configuring activities
Use the Activity Configuration page to configure internal and external activities.
To configure activities:
- Select Administration > Property > Activity > Activity Configuration.
- Click New Record.

Specify the information that you require. See additional details about these
fields:
- Activity
- Specify the activity code and its name.
- Status
- Set the status of the activity to Active.
- Earliest Activity Date
- Specify the earliest date when the activity is available to the guest.
- Latest Activity Date
- Specify the date until which the activity is available to the guest.
- Activity Type
- Specify one of the configured activity types. Activity type can be used to group a type of activities. For example, if the hotel offers several different hikes, then you may build an activity type called Hike. Or if there are several activities that a spa offers, you may build an activity type called Spa. Activity type is configured in Maintain Global Codes page. Activity Type is very important for external activities. Unique activity type must be used for activities configuration at the same property, using the same Databridge Partner.
- External Id
- Some SGI interface providers use the external ID to identify the Activity and its configuration. Though many rely on Activity Type and Name.
- Location
- Specify the physical location of the activity.
- Non-Room Item
- Specify the non-room item that is associated with the activity.
- Activity Start Interval
- Specify the interval at which the activity starts. For example, the activity starts every 1 hour.

Specify the details for the Activity Details pane.
- Transaction Code
- Specify the transaction code used to post the activity booking charges.
Note: If the Non-room item is specified, and the transaction code is not specified, the application populates this field with the transaction code from the non-room item.- Pricing Type
- Specify the Pricing Type. This indicates
how the activity is charged. You can use the list to specify the
pricing type. Pricing type indicates how the rate is applied. If the
pricing type is Daily then the rate is
charged for each day or partial day:
- Per Day: Rate is for each Day or Partial Day on the activity.
- Per Hour: Rate is for each Hour or Partial Hour on the activity.
- Per Minute: Rate is for each minute.
- Per Activity: The rate is for each activity, irrespective of the duration of the activity.
- Posting Option
- Specify the posting Option. This option indicates how
the activity is posted. You can specify:
- Booking: The activity is charged during activity booking.
- Check-in: The activity is charged when the guest checks-in.
- Activity Start Date: The activity is charged based on the activity start date by End of Day.
- Manual: The application does not post the activity charges. You can post the charge manually on the Activity Booking screen.
- Externally Managed: An external interface posts the activity charges. This is the required setting for an External Activity.
- Scheduling Type:
- Specify the Scheduling Type. This indicates
the scheduling method of the activity. The allowed values are:
- Daily: The activity is booked for an entire day. The Allow Multi-Date Booking option is only available for this scheduling type.
- Start Time: The activity is booked by start time. You can specify the Earliest Start Time, Latest Start Time, and the Interval Time fields are enabled, if this option is selected. Interval is the time between allowed start times. For rate calculation, the activity is considered to be 1 minute long.
- Appointment: The activity is booked with a Start Time and End Time. You can specify the Earliest Start Time, Latest Start Time, Latest End Time, Interval, Duration and the Repeatable fields and check box are enabled, if this option is selected. Duration is the length of the activity. Repeatable indicates it the duration is repeatable. If duration is 1 hour and repeatable is checked, the activity can be booked for 1 hour, 2 hours and so on.
- Click Save Record to complete the activity configuration.
