Technician describes the person(s) performing a service assignment. This can be one person or a group of technicians. When a technician is specified in a service assignment, the service manager to whom the technician is connected will be proposed. As well, the warehouse to which the technician is connected will be proposed in the service order lines.
When a service assignment is specified, the technician is proposed in the following order. However, this can be changed later.
1 = From the service order header.
2 = From the individual item.
3 = From the agreement line.
4 = From the location.
5 = From the customer.
The technician can be changed when the service assignment is reported. It is automatically entered in the standard statistics and individual item history when the service assignment is invoiced.
Technicians are entered and maintained in program ‘Person. Open’ (CRS530).
