This document explains how to plan a Service Assignment.
Use this instruction when you want to plan a Service Assignment. The Service Manager plans Service Assignments and assigns them to the appropriate Technician.
The Service Assignment is planned. The Service Assignment plan provides the planned Service Assignment information, based on the availability of resources such as Service Manager, Technician, items etc.
This Service Assignment contains assignment-specific information, such as how errors are manifested, when errors are reported, the person responsible for ensuring that repairs are carried out, and planned schedules for starting and completing the Service Assignments.
You use the Service Assignment plan:
The Service Assignment plan updates the files for creating a Service Assignment. In addition, information is changed in the same files as are used during regular Service Assignment creation and monitoring, which are:
Open 'Service Assignment. Plan' (SOS475/B1).
Enter values for the Service Manager or Engineer (Technician) or Project Number in 'Service Assignment. Plan' (SOS475/B).
These fields are used for selection purposes.
Press Enter to receive a list of related Service Order and assignment numbers.
Select a Service Order number line and double-click to display 'Service Order. Open Assignment' (SOS110/E1).
Change the required field values in Error Symptom, Service Manager, and Technician (based on the availability) in 'Service Assignment. Plan' (SOS475).
Click Next to save changes and return to 'Service Assignment. Plan' (SOS475/B).
To confirm the Technician, select a line in 'Service Assignment. Plan' (SOS475) and select option 39='Conform technician'.
The status is updated to '39', indicating that the Technician is confirmed.
