Element types define skills and feedback requirements associated with service definitions.
Element types are used in conjunction with operational elements.
For skills, the element type should be 1 or 2. Element type 1 will add the estimated hours of each skill and display them as a summary against the operation. In this case the estimated time against the operation cannot be edited (the individual elements must be edited).
Element type 2 is similar but the estimated hours can be edited against the operation without going to the elements. Option 2 is best for most applications of Plant Maintenance.
For service definitions, element type 5 is used to generate the alarm readings and responses such as Yes and No. In this case, the elements are automatically set up when the service definition is created.
