This instruction explains how to reschedule an operation in a work order. Rescheduling means moving a job either backward (to an earlier date) or forward (to a later date).
Use this instruction when an operation cannot be completed at the time it was originally scheduled.
An operation is rescheduled to a date when there is time to complete the job. The job can be completed on the new date.
Information about the work order is stored in the (MMO015) file.
Start 'Work Schedule. Open Toolbox' (MOS195/B). Select an operation and select option 'Reschedule Operation' to display 'WO Operation. Reschedule' (MOS020).
Edit the text lines (if required) and change the priority (if required).
The first two text lines may be edited. These are defaulted from 'Work Order. Open Line' (MOS101).
Change the work center and the number of people needed for the job (if required).
You may want to change the work center if, for example, the original work center can no longer complete the job, but there is another one available that can.
Enter either the earliest date/time that the job is planned to start, or the latest date/time that the job is planned to be finished.
Note that it is not possible to enter both a start and finish date.
Note that the time field is only displayed if shifts are in use.
Additional details that may also be changed include run time, planned number of workers, schedule numbers and schedule sequence number.
Select the following alternatives if applicable:
Reschedule Lower Level - If sub-orders exist, then this option is displayed.
Reschedule Upstream - If this option is displayed, then the operations before this one may be rescheduled at the same time.
Reschedule Downstream - If this option is displayed, then the operations after this one may be rescheduled at the same time.
Press Enter to reschedule the operation.
Pressing Enter will reschedule the work order and its operations. The process includes a large number of checks and changes and can therefore take a few moments to be carried out.
A warning message will be displayed if the start date is likely to be before the current date, as well as if the start or finish date is set to before or after the requested start or finish date.
An action message is created if the start or finish date is set to before or after the requested start or finish date, if the action message functionality is activated.
During the reschedule process, a '2' will be added to the status of the operation (42, 62, etc.). No further changes are allowed until this processing is completed.
A warning will be given if an employee is linked to the work order via operation elements.
