Installation considerations for M3 UI Adapter

This section provides an overview on how to migrate data from the previous version.

Note:  M3 UI Adapter 10.3.1.0 can be a new install or an upgrade from 10.3.0.0. There is no upgrade path from the previous 10.2.x versions of M3 UI Adapter to versions 10.3.x.

If you have the previous 10.2.x versions of M3 UI Adapter, you must follow these procedures.

  Action Related procedure
1 Back up all script files in the jscript folder under web application. Script files are found in ...\...\applications\M3_UI_Adapter\webapps\mne\jscript.
2 Back up the mne_data folder (see the grid property called File Root Path).

The path to the root folder can be found in the application defined properties for M3 UI Adapter. Go to the Core Settings category and look for the File Root Path property.

Create a backup copy of these folders. These folders are found inside the mne_data folder:

  • Automations

  • Customizations

  • DocumentLinks

  • UserSettings

4 Plan for an MS SQL database or a Postgres database (H2 will not be used by M3 UI Adapter 10.3.1.0).  
5 Optionally, export all Start pages data by using the Administration tools in H5. See information regarding the export tool in M3 Core Administration Guide.
6 Uninstall M3 UI Adapter. Uninstalling M3 UI Adapter
7 Install M3 UI Adapter 10.3.1.0. See "Installing M3 UI Adapter" in M3 Core Installation Guide.
8 Migrate the files from the mne_data folder by using the Migrate function in the M3 UI Adapter Administration pages. Migrating configuration files in M3 UI Adapter
9 Zip the backup copy of the jscript files and import the zip file by using the Administration tools in H5.

  • Select Mforms Script as the file type.

  • Choose the Import Zip option.
