Uninstall a LifeCycle Manager Server

  1. Log on as root.
  2. Change current directory to where the installation jar file is placed. For example, cd /tmp.
  3. Run the command to start the installation of the LCM Server. You must type the full path to java in the bin directory of the Java installation. . For example, run the following command and press Enter:

    # /usr/java/<jdk version>/bin/java -jar LifeCycleManagerServer_10.1.x.x.jar -cd

  4. Type 2 to uninstall LifeCycle Manager Server, and press Enter.
  5. Information from the installation program is displayed. Type 1 and press Enter to continue the uninstallation.
  6. Type 1 and press Enter to continue the uninstallation. A message displays that the LCM Server has been uninstalled successfully.
  7. Open the file /etc/lcm/ports and verify that ports reserved for the LifeCycle Manager Server are removed from the file.

    If the file is empty then remove it.

  8. Remove the directory /etc/lcm/server.
  9. Remove the remaining LCM-Server directory in the path where it was installed. For example, in /u01/app/.
