Generating a template for budget or forecast

  1. Select Menu > Budget & Forecast. The Budget & Forecast screen is displayed.
  2. Click the Edit icon for the required budget or forecast. A screen is displayed with the budget or forecast details.
  3. Click Generate template. The Generate template window is displayed.
  4. Specify this information in the Generate Template window:
    Template
    The layout of the template for the generated Excel file. Possible values:
    • Split by Month: Generates the template in a monthly layout. The budget or forecast details are displayed for each month on a separate sheet.
    • Split by Financial Period: Generates the template using the financial period layout. The budget or forecast details are displayed for each financial period on a separate sheet.
      Note: This option is available when the value in the Time Granularity field is set to Financial Period Daily or Financial Period Daily
    • Full: Generates the template in an Excel sheet.
    Data
    The data that is populated in the generated template. Possible values:
    • Blank: Generates a template without data.
    • Autofill: Generates a template with values recommended by the RMS application. The data is populated based on values specified in the Room Metric: Apply Modifier Of, Revenue Metric: Apply Modifier Of and Based On fields.
    Based On
    The type of data that is recommended by the RMS application. Possible values:
    • Last 12 Months: The values from the last 12 months are used for populating data automatically.
    • Forecast : The current forecast is used for populating data automatically.
      Note: 
      • This field is displayed only if the value in the Date field is set to Autofill.
      • The Forecast value is available only for RMS users.
    Rooms Metric Modifier: Apply Modifier Of
    The percentage adjustment applied to the Room Metric value for the budget or forecast. The Room Metric values are increased or decreased by the specified percentage.
    Note: This field is enabled only when the value in the Data field is set to Autofill.
    Revenue Metric Modifier: Apply Modifier Of

    The percentage adjustment applied to the Revenue Metric value for the budget or forecast. The Revenue Metric values are increased or decreased by the specified percentage.

  5. Click Generate. The application generates and downloads the template in the .xslx format.
    Note: The data included in the generated template is based on the specified information in the Generate Template window. The data is not exported from the values specified in the table for the budget or forecast.
