Creating a budget

  1. Select Menu > Budget. The Budget screen is displayed.
  2. Select the + New Budget icon. The New Budget screen is displayed.
  3. Specify this information in the Budget Details section:
    Name
    The unique name for the budget.
    Description
    The short description for the budget.
    Year
    The year for which the budget is created.
  4. Specify this information in the Input Budget Preferences section:
    Time Granularity
    The time granularity/time interval at which the budget is specified. Possible values:
    • Monthly
    • Daily
    • Financial Period by period
    • Financial Period by day
    Note: The Financial Period by period and Financial Period by day options are available only if you configure the financial periods on the Financial Period screen.
    Rooms Metric
    The room metric that is used for the budget.
    Revenue Metric
    The revenue metric that is used for the budget.
    Note: The Taxes and Fees field is displayed only when you specify a value in this field.
    Dimension
    The dimension that is used for the budget.
    Note: The Apply Dimension To field is displayed only when you specify a value in this field.
    Taxes and Fees
    Indicates if the taxes and fees are included or excluded from the budget.
    Apply Dimension To
    The dimension to which the budget is used.
  5. Click the Create Budget option. The budget is created.
    Note: Select Reset Changes option to undo the changes you have made.
