Mitigating a risk

Use this functionality to mitigate a risk.

  1. Select Monitor > Risk on the navigation bar.
  2. Select the check box corresponding to a risk that you require to mitigate. The Mitigate screen is displayed.
  3. Select a compensating control to mitigate the risk. Compensating Controls are documents that include the reason for the existence of a risk and the process to mitigate the risk.
  4. Select the type of mitigation. Possible values:
    • Assure
    • Reduce Risk
  5. Provide additional information related to the risk, in the Comments field.
  6. Click Mitigate. The status of the risk is updated on the Risk page.
