Scheduling an analysis

You can set the schedule for the data analysis based on the frequency and the time line.

To set the schedule:

  1. Select Run Now to perform a full analysis immediately. You can also select the Run Later to schedule the analysis at a later date. If the Run Later option is selected, these values must be specified:
    Start Date
    The date when the analysis is scheduled for the first time.
    Start Time

    The time when the analysis is scheduled for the first time.

  2. Set the frequency for the analysis in the Recurring Frequency field in the Recurrence section.
    Note: When you set a frequency for an analyses, an incremental analysis is scheduled. The first analysis is always a full analysis. The subsequent analyses analyzes the data that has been modified since the previous analyses.

    The frequency can be set to:

    • Never: The analysis is a full analysis and is scheduled only once, on the specified date and time.
    • Hourly: The analysis recurs based on the time interval specified in hours, in the Recurring Frequency Hourly Interval field that is displayed.
    • Daily: The analysis recurs daily.
    • Weekly: The analysis recurs on a weekly basis. You must specify:
      • The time interval in weeks for the analysis in the Recurring Frequency Weekly Interval field.
      • The day of the week in the Select Days of the Week field. The analysis recurs on the selected day of the week.
    • Monthly: The analysis recurs on a monthly basis. You can set the recurrence using these options:
      • On Specific Week day: The day of the week for the recurrence, the week of the month and the time interval in months for the recurrence of the analysis.
      • On specific day: The day of each month for the recurrence of the analysis in the Specific Day field.
  3. Set the end date for the recurrence of the analysis in the Set End Date section, using these options:
    • No end date: The analysis is scheduled on a continuous basis.
    • Occurrences: The number of occurrences of the analysis.
    • End date: The last date for the recurrence of the analysis in the Specify End Date field.
    Note:  This option is displayed only if the Hourly, Daily, Weekly, or Monthly recurrence option is selected.
